“Unprecedented” is the only way to describe this year. On Saturday, November 7, 2020 Good Shepherd Center had planned to host our 7th Annual Flavor of North Carolina at the Carolina Yacht Club. Typically this event would raise $100,000 to feed, shelter, and rehouse our guests during this time of crisis. These are not typical times.
For the health and safety of all, we will only be holding an online auction this year. With the loss of all in-person fundraising events for 2020, we’re facing an unprecedented challenge.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have remained open to shelter the homeless, made emergency measures to safely accommodate our guests with social distancing measures in place, and rehoused a record 339 homeless individuals and families. Your support makes these achievements possible, something that we can all be proud of as a community.
